Not an expert on roofs but that building in the Park getting a new one has some kind of specialty roof that has stuff growing on in it….How about a contractor comes in and strips it and puts a nice forest green metal roof up there…..Why do taxpayers have to pay ?

I was driving across the Pearl St Bridge a few minutes ago and there was a dude laid out on the sidewalk….Two people had come across him and I stopped to make sure they had a phone and the were calling 911…I asked if he was breathing , and he moved his head so I moved on…Nobody else stopped…God help any of us who need help.

Yes, local media did cover Tuesday night's NY 24 debate in Rochester. So you can learn what went on.....I was criticized for not knowing this as there was nothing in the Wednesday paper....But let it be said I do subscribe to the paper for the benefit of the couple of old men in my old man bar who still like to peruse a paper.
Not sure if there was anything on TV. Frankly it would be nice if radio made arrangements to carry such things ...A bit of team effort could help better inform the public.

The WROC debate for N.Y. 24 was the only chanced NY24 voters get a chance to see and hear the candidates. While one would surmise the incumbent has the edge, it’s a tough year for Republicans so you never know…Fortunately interested voters can view the session on line…Otherwise we would be in a. News desert.
A DPW Superintendent is expected to be named next month, but one thing is certain The person will not be a city resident and likely will be the current acting Super, Karen Overton.
The CM will name the person but will not be consulting with Council……The Manager is currently out of country, according to the Times. Council can decide whether the deputy position be filled and may do so to get ahead of budget woes.Nine people have applied but only two are said qualified.
One other area they will have to, help address is who to cut if the City no longer has to maintain the golf course.

The placing of the HOTLINE on WQTK 92.7 in Ogdensburg is getting rave revues... Had a Colton resident stop by and listened religiously....And the Show of Shows is being heard across the Big County.
It also gives us a chance to join in the discourse for NY 21 as the signal is right in the district not on the edge.

This will get them going...I certainly am respectful of the law and authority but something that really galls me is cops lighting up a motorist and then they pull into my lot for a 45 minute light show and if its a Trooper they don't mind blocking the entrance too...
Obviously it's bad for business and upsetting to patrons. Happened yesterday about 5 PM when there was a DWB pull over. An Uber delivery person had to park on the sidewalk as the driveway was blocked and when I politely asked if the light show was necessary , got the expected response....
It's still private property, and if police want God fearing, tax paying citizens to respect them, then it's a two way street. The attitude towards the God fearing citizen is most pronounced in one agency.
The state's chief law enforcement officer calls people like me as too male, too pale and too stale....That's not very respectful of the citizen/taxpayer.
