Success

Taking a weekend at season's end and turning it into a major attraction is what once sleepy Clayton has done with it's Punkin' Chunking'...Packs 'em in and promoters are even providing shuttles to help with the cramped parking. The village is open and soon it will host the area's best Christmas Parade....

There are nattering nabobs in Clayton who complain about crowds, but crowds signal success and prosperity...You want quiet, move to Antwerp.

Too bad Vince Dee and Dennis Honeywell are not around to see how well there town has done..Both men ahead of their time.

Same for Sackets. All due to excellent support from local government.

I was fortunate enough to have known Vince Dee and he was a true trail blazer - a great guy that was always willing to lend a helping hand. His contributions to the North Country and the development of tourism are numerous and can not be overstated.

Clayton has it going on. Too bad Watertown can't say the same. We could launch pumpkins into the Black River.

Sackets had a record year, 4:13. Do try and keep up.

Too much raw sewage in the river to begin with.
