Kimball: Parade Only Has $300

Councilman Robert Kimball is again toying with the public on the Christmas Parade, claiming only $300 has been donated so far and that the City will not permit the parade unless the full ransom is paid.

Well, the finances aside, the City should stop its tin cup brigade to raise money for the boated salaries and vanity doors.

For the Doctor to suggest the Parade may now be cancelled again is reason enough he shouldn't be elected Mayor next year.

Costs related to the parade are less than the billable cost of one minor procedure done by Mr. Kimball's former colleagues. Is that a fair comparison ? No, but nothing about this debate is fair.

By the way, why do these donations have to be funneled through the NNY Community Foundation. Just make the checks out to City of Watertown at 245 Washington Street since that's where the money is going.

Dr. Kimball was Mayor pro tem at last night's meeting.

Kimball will be a disaster as mayor if you want to witness First Pres elitism then by all means elect this guy. He will spend every last penny.

Cancel the parade and elect Dr Kimball as Mayor
Want frivolity, pay for it first
Sure appears the public is not as feverish for a Christmas parade as the local WATN radio host is
A Mayor Graham would have proposed building city owned hotels to handle the influx of eclipse visitors

The Watertown Christmas parade fund is in better fiscal shape than The United States currently is

Previously you had stated on your blog that councilman Ben Shoen had secured the funding for a parade
In fact on your photo is side border you have a photo captioned “ Shoen Saves Parade”

Neighborhood Watch Citywide has added about 90 members in the past three months, bringing its membership to 225, former City Councilman Patrick J. Hickey told the City Council on Monday night. The volunteer organization is looking for more residents to join.
