Those who are concerned over NNY local yokel pols making too much money, should take time to look around the Empire State. It's not just the four state lawmakers absent all of 2026...Theres the even higher paid NYC Council members who do little or nothing...And out in the 'burbs, county legislators have a nice niche,...
So while SLC muses about local lawmakers and what they make, it's a pittance compared to elsewhere.....Of course the unelected pay scams are even more more egregious as in the many authorities and commissions that do little but spend a lot.
