Hochul never made a claim she would “carry” Gendebien, just that she supports him and expects him to win. Hochul will win statewide, but lose in NY21 and NY24. Constantino’s strategists realize that just being MAGA and mini-Trump may not be enough. New tactic is Mamdani=Hochul=Gendebien.
Gendebien has specifically disavowed the extreme positions of his party and won’t even support or endorse Hochul - but the tactic might work.
