Truth to Power ?

The young lady who took her coffee to class at Beaver River School did so with full knowledge she was breaking a new rule and did it as an act of civil disobedience.   Premeditation if you will...,

Julia Kaputa got what she wanted and the story went far and wide...Now school policy is amended to allow the classroom teacher to decide if a beverage can be brought to class.

Is there danger in this...Could a hot beverage be weaponized ? Could the drink be spiked ?

Does a high school student need a cup of coffee? Isn't that for adults??  How many billable hours did "legal" charge to analyze this crisis ?

Sounds like Julia might have political ambitions. and best wishes to her....

Keith Boykin: The Republicans control the entire government. They control the white house. They control the house. They control the senate. They control six of the nine seats on the supreme court. If you're not happy with the way the country is running America, blame the Republicans. They're running the country. Who else can you blame?

I can't recall anyone drinking a beverage during class when I was in school. If you wanted a drink, you'd have to ask the teacher for permission to go to the drinking fountain, which rarely happened.
In elementary school one girl would chew gum, which wasn't allowed. The teacher would make her take it out of her mouth, and tape it to her nose. Imagine the uproar if something like that happened today.

I pay taxes, my kids go to school, I could care less about them having a drink in the classroom as long as it is not a drink that requires them to be 21 years of age. Also, you can weaponize anything, how about the chairs they sit in, how about the pencils.... come on man stop trying to gaslight people. The district should have gave a warning, not a day of in school suspension or home suspension over it.

I have attended middle school and high school on both the west and east coast, and I am here to tell you drinks are allowed in the classroom. The schools have or had vending machines that allow or allowed us to purchase a drink during school and drink them in the classroom. Also, the days of you smacking the chalk board erasers together have long passed. Please Sir can I go to the lead lined drinking fountain for a drink of water. What a joke.

I didn’t realize she got suspended
It was a stupid move by the entitled kid
Make her pick up garbage outside the school
It’s more punishment to keep a kid IN class

You are a moron. If your kid wants coffee, they can drink it at home before they go to school. They are at school to sit in class and learn, not run to the bathroom every 30 minutes after they consume 400 calories of sugar beverages.
Like the other commander said above, when we went to school, no one was carrying drinks around. It’s no coincidence that only one and 30 kids was overweight back then either. Getting a latte habit that young means the activist student is going to be 30 pounds overweight by the time she’s 22.

Next will be a scene from Fast Times At Ridgemont High where Sean Penn’s character Spicoli has a pizza delivered to class

Silly you, 7:26, everyone knows it Biden’s fault

Maybe schools could hire more cafeteria workers, put them on roller skates, equip the desks to accommodate a food tray, and the kids could get food brought right to their desks like in American Graffiti

Donald has us on the path to a 3rd world nation. May as well go all the way with motor bikes, shopping carts, and baskets stacked on people’s heads

7:45 a.m. I can tell you are from the age of the chalk board... times have changed, your good ole days have gone by the wayside. Also, I can tell you have prostate issues having to run to the bathroom every 30 mins. after drinking coffee. Come on don't be that guy, you know the guy that just complains and compares everything to the time you had to walk uphill in both directions in the middle of a snowstorm to make it to and from school. There is a song out there, probably from your generation that says the time's they are a changing... get over it.
