Jake wants a zone change for the restaurant portion of the Ives Hill CC, so the eaterie can stay open if the links close…Currently it is allowed as an accessory use to the course. There will be opposition of course from neighbors concerned over a bar in their hood.
This does beg the question of whether the nine holes will stay open…..They apparently will be operated by Shannon who now runs the restaurant.
Meanwhile City Council Member Kimball tell the Times there have been two parties who indicated interest in taking over the Park course.

Jake and PJ are up to their usual tricks That is a beautiful residential neighbor hood They should not be operating a bar out of the club house in the winter when the golf course is closed

The neighborhood loves the restaurant FOR the bar. You don’t think all those wives play golf do you?
Funny thing is it was never an issue in the past…it simply stayed open. There’s no rule that the accessory needs to keep the same hours as the links.
No need to write a blank check zoning change for peeJake. Just grant him a variance for the one activity he CLAIMS to want the variance for…a clubhouse restaurant that is part of a golf course operation but can run off season too.
Jake has put out a lot of word salad that makes no sense.
Jake couldn’t even last 1 year running the place by himself and that’s pretty sad.

Why change anything
The Bar and restaurant are operating just fine the way it is zoned now

Jake and PJ should apply to have the outer 9 golf holes annexed into the city and return it to an 18-hole course. The bar and restaurant will take care of themselves.
So it's OK in the summer, but somehow becomes bad in the winter? And hasn't this place been open in the winter for years now anyway? Why complaints now??
Make Ives 18 again and close the park course. Give the city a few sheckels from the golf course at Ives per year for their trouble in ignoring the deed restriction. Easy. Ives was always the better course and now they have an eatery/clubhouse to match.
