The Gendebien campaign has put out a statement declining debates. The campaign manager , Michael Waller, says Mr Gendebien has a farm to run and a campaign to run and will not entertain debate dates until they have a clear idea of the format and who is actually hosting the event.
That seems to leave the door open but they are either afraid of a debate or they believe they have the race secured and see no upside to a debate. A debate likely will not chanced the race much, especially if the media plays the matter down.
