Thought We Might Get Rid of Clock Changes

Looks like the Senate won’t pass the end of DST….So we all have to fall back on November 1.

Sounds good to me. I like the time change. Look forward to it.

Sen. John Kennedy on Trump's blatant reflecting pool lies: "The president says it was caused by vandals. I don't know if he really believes that or it's part of his political messaging or he's just thinking out loud ... he grows anxious when he has an unexpressed thought."

: Just 10 minutes before futures market open, Trump has claimed "there's a deal on Hormuz and there will be a deal on denuclearization" with the US "talking to them in the form of a negotiation" and "Iran negotiations to begin Monday afternoon."

Iran continues to reject any negotiations with the US and launched anti-ship cruise missiles toward a ship just a few minutes ago.

Remember when we warned that SAVE Act would create unnecessary barriers for eligible voters?

The response was always the same:

“Just get the paperwork.”

Well, Florida is showing us what “just get the paperwork” actually looks like.

A Florida woman and Army veteran found that out when she ran into problems getting a REAL ID because she couldn’t produce a marriage record from 50 years ago to connect her name history.

Think about that. A citizen and Army veteran stuck because one old document was missing. Now expand that across the country. Millions upon millions of Americans have identity histories that don’t fit into one perfect government record. Marriage, adoption, divorce, immigration, court-ordered name changes, and simple clerical errors all create gaps.

The SAVE Act would add more opportunities for those gaps to become barriers. As is being proven in Florida.

Republicans have been lying to you.

Marco Rubio: "If you criticize Israel, you will not be granted a visa for the United States."

This is what an occupied nation looks like.

And have you noticed Bibi and Marco have identical ears?

I get it. This nation has budget constraints. We can’t afford everything we want or even everything we need.

So okay, we have to cut programs that feed hungry children. And cut subsidies for Medicare prescription drug programs. And cut Medicaid coverage for the disabled. And cut programs that fight the spread of disease. And cut clean drinking water projects. And cut public school literacy programs. Hey, if we can’t afford it, we can’t afford it.

But thankfully, we can afford a new $600 million ballroom. And a $900 million rebuild of a Qatari jet. And a second $20 million paint job for the Reflecting Pool. And a $20 billion makeover at Dulles Airport. And $5 million to put 24 carat gold on DC horse statues. Yes, $5 million.

Thank you, Mr. President, for finally straightening out our priorities.

When the Democrats take power, the Republicans will suddenly be concerned about the debt. 40 Trillion and counting
