Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes liked to be other places than his city including a recent shootout at a food festivall.So the Mayor canned him but he did get a $590K separation payment.
Now is it fair to expect t he Chief to be there or is his time off his own business since he surely has good people to handle things in the Emerald City while he is away.

There is no discussion about any “pension”, which obviously did not come into play since he was only hired in 2025.
