Usually when new management jobs are filled there is a resolution before Council to set the salary and presumably someone new to a post would start a bit lower than the predecessor.....It reduces costs a bit and also recognizes the previous occupier of the post...No such resolutions on Monday's agenda as apparently the boss feels the past levels are fine....Get a raise July 1 and another August 1.....

It's OK they will vote in a three year deal for maintenance of the hydro plant they will eventually have to sell....But they did save a bundle on that Northside bathroom.

Graham is just jealous he was paid peanuts. Most of us think he was overpaid.
Yes he is.
But at the same time he is the most competent CM the city has had in 70 years. Just look at the time he is saving by skipping the perfunctory CC approval crap that Graham is crying about skipping. CC approved the budget and part of that budget is for the pay of the senior cop willing to do the paperwork involved in an automatic progression.
Maybe Graham would like to see CC approve it every time a fire queen is upgraded for telling the hose pointer which way to point the hose.
