Too Much Progress

Remember when we had to buy Chromebooks for every kid in school, especially after Kathy Hochul said computer literacy is a racial issue....

Now we hear from the AP, the tide has turned and classrooms have two many screens and it's a distraction.....

Then there are these Prometheus screens replacing black boards...

Needless to say, I prefer chalk, clapping erasers with no mask and leaving a beaker of mercury on the science lab counter for the kids to play with....

Kind of reminds me of TVs in the bar...on 911, there was just one...Now between FOX News and Lottery games, there are ten televisions whirring away on Pearl Street...

In the day there were blackboards and if AV were needed a nerd would be dispatched from the library with a 16mm projector on the cart or an overhead projector with a grease pencil....

Florida provides computers and tablets to students, primarily through individual school districts, state grants, and scholarship programs. However, because distribution is localized, availability, eligibility and device types vary significantly.

Jeff you could save a lot of digital ink by simply posting "I'm old" and leaving it at that.

Speaking of education....

“Toward the end, like they had a question like, pick a number, sir. Any number. Okay. 203 multiply x 9 divide by 2 add on 1324 subtract 1292 sir multiply it out one more time by 19."

"What is the answer sir? And I got it right.”
