NY 21 hopeful Anthony Constantino made a stop in Gouverneur last night to try and rustle up votes for a June primary expected to attract few participants.
Meanwhile SLC Republican committee people were up in Canton picking a new election commissioner as the one in office fell out of favor with someone.
The local GOP high command is backing Assemblyman Robert Smullen but a former GOP candidate for the office is privately telling friends Constantino will crush Mr. Smullen, we hear through our grapevine.
Whatever the result the schism in the GOP is gaping and the race in the fall against Cows and Carhartts will be difficult.
Mayor McDougall didn't make it as he is waking up today in Bolton Landing where he attended the NYCOM annual meeting.

Constantino is a coward.
You don’t debate when you’re 30 points up.
Yes
says someone that hides behind a keyboard. Why should we believe you, whom ever you are?
In the only real poll taken so far, Tony is behind Assemblyman Smullen by 10 points, 9:09.
10:01 = Tonie The Coward
No
Going to the Hoover tomorrow so I can get some free Pizza and drinks.I just want to see what a short little snot face bigot he really is in person.Hoping the farmer from Lisbon will stop by and try the wings.Brian is welcome to stop by as well
All this money He's spending on this campaign, and he's got himself stuck right up Trump's behind when his approval rating is 27%, it's a no-brainer, you're gonna lose buddy, you're gonna lose a lot of your daddy's money in the process and whatever you do , don't wear them skinny , jeans tomorrow
I could never vote for Tony for a million reasons. But taking all the political views out, the fact his campaign ad has big, bold Trump lettering, and an Ai photo of him shaking hands in front of a “fight-fight” statue is enough.
9:09, is the 2026 Constantino Family Reunion Poll?
Tony the phony. Will lose huge.
With free food and merchandise, Constantino should draw at least some to attend his rallies - but furthers the narrative he is trying to buy the election. Meantime, since Mr. Mayor is clearly an advocate, maybe he or another supporter can outline any major policy differences between Constantino and Smullen. Seems his big “issues” is that he is ultra MAGA and self-financed.
Is it really a “stop” if no one attended?
The boy's bald too. You'd think Tony being a billionaire he'd get plugs. Musk did.
"Mr. Mayor...?"
You talking about Graham?
Right....
If Tony is billionaire, the Caprara sons are trillionaires
