The TU political scribe says Elise Stefanik could be the kingmaker in the NY21 GOP primary….up till now it’s been a race between MAGA and the states Republican leaders…
It is conceivable she could swing the primary with her apparatus. But her endorsement itself means nothing. Up till now it hasn’t been a race its been a bloodbath, where sticker mule has the lead by a mile.
Without Stefanik the party is dead. Last weekend she was in cousin Brucie’s backyard in a heave Dem area. If you’ve seen her interact she is actually beloved by all sides. She genuinely by all. People are waiting for her next move. Rumors are rampant on what is being thrown her way. I wouldn’t say we are down yet. It will take Stefanik’s pull and connections to keep money (federal) our way.
As the article suggests, Congresswoman Stefanik is unlikely to endorse Smullen, given his past “threat” to run against her. If she endorses Constantino, she would lend enough weight and credibility to push him over the top. If she hadn’t been stabbed in the back by Trump and MAGA, that would be a given. Interesting to see what she decides. Meanwhile Trump endorsed Paxton in Texas, another instance where he prefers a nominee who is 100% loyal to him, even if it weakens the likelihood of a Republican win in November. His all out attack on Massie in the Kentucky is another example of Trump’s self-centered approach. Massie is among the most conservative members of Congress, and has been backed by many of the former leaders of MAGA. Trump was even willing to overlook that Massie voted against the Big Beautiful Bill and other legislation driving the national debt out of control - once he led the move to compel the promised release of the Epstein files though, he earned Trump’s eternal enmity.

4:55 MAGA is indeed at its zenith, but the movement is already beginning to disintegrate. Just hope it doesn’t take the rest of the Republican Party down with it. Traditional Republicans are by definition not RINOs, but much of what Trump followers espouse is in direct conflict with the party’s historical values.

Her days of being independent are long, long gone. She will fall right in line with whatever he wants. Just watch.
