On this getting new legal counsel. Instead of an RFP, why not call some people who know something about municipal and government lawyering…People like Addie Jenne or a Jim Burrows…Not that they want the job but they might have some recruiting suggestions…Why does the County have an in house lawyer but the City keeps going through the Syracuse phone book for high priced attorneys?
Before we end up with a retired JAG, lets find a smart young attorney looking for an opportunity.
But instead it’s more secrecy as people ill equipped to recruit to this job think an RFP,drawn up on the Third floor will do the trick. Also , why would the lame ducks,be taken seriously doing interviews.
Any bright young attorneys out there….Go see the Mayor and ask for a shot….
