Comments keep flying about the teacher reactions to the slaying of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. It will die down in a couple days and its a good to just advise staff to pipe down for a while.
The union has already laid down the law...No one is getting in trouble for this.
For teachers, a couple of rules of thumb from my generation....
If you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all or at least don't call people Hitler.
And the old saw...you don't speak ill of the dead unless its Hitler and that's OK.
