NY and NJ skipped the lowering of the flag for Charlie Kirk. So did Pearl Street. The two states did it to refute Orange Man...I did for the more conventional reason. It's not appropriate.
The killing was horrible, tragic and disturbing, but the Nation was not in mourning and flags at half staff for a political ally was inappropriate.
If you want gushing over Mr. Kirk, tune into FOX.
That said I watched a five year old interview with him on Mark Levin's show last night...Amazing intellect and grasp of history, politics, and life.Worthy of lament and reflection, but not the flags of the nation.
If you want spectacle there will be services Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ...Capacity 72,000. Great bonus day for the vendors.
As for the people posting on Facebook, like teachers for instance....They are likely among those who had no knowledge of Mr. Kirk prior to the shooting...They just got word from the Bat Cave to yell "Fascist", so they did.

I seen many flags lowered all over the four counties in NY I traveled this weekend. My local post office and official buildings are all lowered. Sounds like more republican BS to me. Bad democrats bad bad bad.
Mayor Graham, How could you have missed this? Scrolling through Ny21 Representative Elise’’s site I came across this morning. This was posted by here last evening. Elise probably in reflection of Charlie’s text or conversations with she came upon a text from sometime this past summer. Kirk’s opinion on why she should run for Governor in NYS. If this wasn’t a calling I don’t know what was. With saner heads that prevailed he mentioned the jury that prevailed in Daniel Pearl’s decision to acquit those trumped up charges by Alan Bragg. If this is not a message from Charlie I don’t know what is. People are furious and now not lowering the flag!

I have to agree with the previous poster but have to add my 2 cents. Locally who has a better dialaphone to our former Congresswoman than Jeff. We can still vote for her in the big Governor’s race. We all love her except the Rinos and we all know who you are. We never really knew how powerful and all the people she knows. It appears it goes back multiple decades. All those Democrats that we read about coming here with foolish wannabe Blake I’m just a farmer bury the act. But keep throwing that money away. The farm costs with having to pay additional monies to replace you while on this little venture must be affecting the bottom line.

What individuals choose to do, or consider appropriate is a personal choice.

So, to be 💯 honest, I knew very little about Mr. Kirk. There's way too many influencers for everything on social media, and thought he was more for the younger crowd.
Since his murder, I've listened to some of his podcasts and found he was a highly intelligent communicator, with a definite set of beliefs, some that I agree with, some that I don't. That said, he preached non violent communication. Have to believe if he were here today he would call for the same.
God bless him and his young family. They certainly didn't deserve this from a mentally deranged young man - not part of a gang, not part of an outside force, just sick and - shocking - but home grown.

Others do not view the murder primarily through politically partisan eyes. Instead they bemoan all political assassinations as attacks against the very foundation of democracy and America’s core values. Such is the case for some leaders from both parties who chose to order flags in their states flown at half-mast. Governor Shapiro in neighboring Pennsylvania, is one example, because as Michigan Governor Whitmer stated: “Political violence in any form is unacceptable and must be condemned. Our country is founded on the freedom to stand up a speak your mind without fear of being hurt or killed.”:
