Globe Revival Highlights Return Of Downtown
The Globe building on Court Street looks completed and it looks great. It will bring people there and is a capstone to the public investment in the streetscape...
Now, put the fountain back and make the street a showcase.

How many times has the Globe been reinvented? It’s doomed to fail.
It looks like shit. Its a case study in brutalism, disproportion and bait & switch. It looks nothing like the rendering originally shopped to media, which depicted plenty of proportionally sized windows which worked as an attractive facade. This is a giant waste of taxpayer money and the building offers nothing the free market wants, instead it depends on government or NFP’st to lease the space.
This is also serves an example, that not only is the city populace made up of mostly welfare inhabitants but so is the majority of our economy.

You will be trashing it on the air and on your blog within days, weeks, or months. 100-% chance…
Certainly looks nicer than it has in decades, and I like that they kept the “Globe” name, and logo.
