Wobbly Knees in the GOP

Senator John Thune of SD is the latest and most high ranking in the GOP to call for Donald Trump to resign the nomination for President. Others like the Senator from NH are putting out goofy statements about how they will write in a candidate for President.
Now if Mr. Trump agreed to step aside, one assumes the RNC would put Governor Pence in the top slot. A new VP would be designated although all of this is complicated by existing ballots and differing state rules on electors.
I am not so sure Team Hillary wants say a Pence-Haley ticket as then the focus is solely on Mrs. Clinton's foibles.
For the record, Mr. Trump says he will not resign.

Looked at through any lens, rose-colored or not, this a big problem for the Grand Old Party down the road.

This must me a deplorable pussy because I'm still voting for Trump! Who cares! What man hasn't said something regrettable about a woman. Same goes for women! The GOP needs to get behind Trump or we can kiss our American rights goodbye!

yes 2:17, people like you who are cool with boasts about sexual assault are deplorable. it's good to get it out in the open.

Somebody needs to say get over it; locker room talk is common amongst ALL men.

If women, in particular, are upset, start asking your heroes in F-Troop about the whorehouses oversea. You'll get an education then.

it's funny, but i'm a guy, and i've been in locker rooms, and i've never heard a single person brag about forcing themselves on women. jeff's commenters must be hanging out in some pretty interesting locker rooms.

Dan, believe me, you WANT Trump. If Pence or someone that is competent moves onto the ticket in his spot that can call Hillary out on all of her crap, your in DEEEEEEEP trouble. The path to the Whitehouse is Trump for Hillary, careful what you wish for.

Dear deplorable 3:23: please don't lump me in with your basket of deplorables. I've spent a lot of time in locker rooms and can assure you I've never said or heard such things. Rape is rape. Sexual assault is not funny. But, yeah, women need an education, clearly not you because you apparently know what we ALL do.

Gross.

4:13, I think you've been in the wrong locker room, or, you are lying , period

Jesus claptrap, pretty sure they are talking about locker rooms not your bath houses. Why do you think it is called locker room talk?

Rape and sexual assault are Clinton's MO. There was nothing like that mentioned in Trump's private eleven year old conversation.

7:43 merely exemplifies what A-holes most Trump supporters are. And Trump was 60 when he made these comments, so the locker room comparisons are not very valid. I could see if he was 17. Or even 30. He is just an embarrassment.

on a day dominated by misogyny it's really great of 7:43 to make sure that homophobia isn't left out of the mix. deplorable to the core.

Oh come on now dimwit, you throwing around the term A-hole is like Trump throwing around the P-word. You both objectify the body parts you are in quest of.

But you have evolved...
...and now, at least you "can see if he was 17 or even 30".

So,what do you think? Perhaps 35 years and 364 days is the magic cut off age when boys should quit indulging in that type sophomoric banter?

But of course it would still meet your approval to dip their cigars and say, "it tastes good". Because...well because that is just two consenting adults succumbing to there baser instincts. One instinct being to take advantage of the subordinate girl being paid by our tax dollars. And the other instinct being to leverage her promiscuity in order to obtain a $90k job at Revlon.

8:05; now there is an age thing used in how people talk? Are you serious? There is no difference in ages, for locker room talk. Coming soon, men over the age of 55, cannot talk or have sex. Aren't people wonderful when they are so politically correct?

Anonymous said...

No 5:57. Some men just choose to grow up. And those who talk about sex at 55 in Trump's manner probably do so because they are not actually having any. Go back to your mother's basement now.

11:18 ; I don't think you ever got any, period. What is the age for maturity? In this political climate today, being PC, means 30-40 years old, before you are an adult, capable of being a grown up. So, 65, is the new 55, 75 is the 65, and so on.

Great comment 5:22. Better wash up now-- Mommy has supper waiting for you. Ha ha
