So much politics for a weekend....An eleven year old hot mic video released by of all people, NBC, has Donald Trump in a banter with a guy named Billy Bush in which Mr. Trump makes lewd and vulgar locker room style comments in what appeared to be an intended off mike venue in the make up trailer of a TV set.
Mr Trump released a midnight video apology but the incident has the media and political world a flutter. The decision by NBC to hold the video till this moment proved fortuitous for Democrats, and likely was known about ahead of time by the Clinton campaign.
Ironically two other stories will get passed over due to this as the big debate nears on Sunday. The release of what Hillary Clinton said in those high dollar speeches is out and she tells Wall Streeters she has public positions and private positions and that she favors free trade and open borders.
Also we have learned Bill Clinton's remarks about the ACA were approved by the White House in a bid to tee up Hillary as the problem solver as Sunday's debate.
Locally, the Congressional candidates are weighing in with predictable statements while former GOP Governor George Pataki urged Trump resign the nomination.
The Sunday debate will please Anderson Cooper who will be seen by more eyes than he could ever imagine.
Coverage of the story varies widely, with Newzjunky not able to get enough while the WDT only ran a sidebar paragraph story on A-3.
There's two sides to this story....One is the comments buttress an existing narrative well established....The other is this was a private conversation of the kind any guy has been party too in some fashion.
