Stranded Vet's Boat Refloated | WWNY TV 7

This whole story begs a lot of questions, but it was nice of Bach Construction to get the boat off the rocks.

This was apparently a TV-only story and it would be interesting to know more about who the guy is, and why he only has a boat. Is it registered to him and what's the real story.

Was it Bach and Co or WD Bach?
Either way, it was very nice of them to help out a veteran who was down on his luck.

I knew Bach could do it. They had the equipment in Henderson. And good for the Chaumont Boys at the Crescent Yacht club for taking care of the boat.

agree, the moral of the story here is help, hopefully it turns out to be a great story, not just a good one.

Ms Flowers looks much more than a few months younger than Hillary. Who can blame Bill.

It was WD Bach, nobody else could ever do what he can, just ask him. Charitable ?? more like free advertisement!

So what, 10:36. I don't question Bach's motive. I just appreciate them donating the work. That wasn't free and it wasn't cheap. Did you donate to the cause? I thought so.

12:22 who are you ,his brother? Ask yourself, why does a person who has the luxury of owning a sailboat like this, deserve the atttention and charity of community donation efforts, when there are truly destitute people in the region?

The story is sad, on the face of it , but so is the reaction to it. Bach should have hired the guy first so he could get payed back in held wages for the service he provided. Then none of the community charity would be necessary.

Oh come on...show me a contractor who doesn't think highly of his capabilities and I will show you a blogger than doesn't think highly of his opinions.

It wasn't free for Bach to drive his equipment over there and get that boat out of there. Not to mention that I am sure everyone is booked up this time of year trying to get jobs done before winter. I give the man credit for helping out. And extra credit for making simple work out of a job manyothers would make more complicated.

So if he was living on his boat until it became stranded, where has he been living since? Presumably if he was "living in the boat" he was in the boat when it crashed ashore. How did he get off the island? How did he get to the flower memorial library before and after he was marooned? Why is there a fundme account for someone that has a $200,000 sailboat? This is a very peculiar story.
