Lots Of Opinions From People For Whom Voting Isn't a Part of Life

Everybody is engaged in the race this year, but who is voting ? I had a couple of guys in today. Both work for a living and are forty-ish.   After a discussion of the race I ask one if he is registered...Nope....Ask the other if he wants to vote....Nope.
There's so many in that category. Don't know who it hurts the most, but there's a good two in three chance that whoever you are talking to isn't a participant, even though they may have strong opinions.

How many people sit out Council elections? A lot I assume.

Yeah, its almost as bad as being so pigheaded you refuse to register in one of the two parties that is guaranteed to provide the winner of the general election, but not quite as bad. If you are only allowed to vote one time, that vote is best and most influential in the primary of the two major parties.

People just don't feel included. It's no excuse, but so many votes have already been purchased. There is no way a Dannie or a NYunderStuff, will ever be influenced by debate. They are owned. Blacks, teachers, government employees, people confused about which rest room to use, and people who just want to be fashionable have already voted. In fact, Dan and the Klitcrap have already voted in the next election.

Lots of north country people have opinions based on what they hear from people who only watch Fox News or actually read a newspaper or two and decide for themselves. Nor do they ever vote.
