Trump Holds His Own

The debate droned on and on and each side made their points, but frankly Donald Trump held his own against Hillary Clinton....Those on each side will claim victory, but for Mr. Trump it means he avoided the usual criticisms about his campaign.
Mika will say Mrs Clinton found her voice but it was by no means a win for her even though she was favored.
Donald Trump won by not losing and the Democrat missed the chance to put the race away.

Good God Jeff, Trump is a disaster!!!

Did we watch the same debate!?

What debate were you watching Jeff? Trump got thumped after 20 minutes. Talking about Sean Hannity and Howard Stern, a good use of time.

I'll reserve judgment until I hear the golf course hero's scripted Democrat press release. I'm sure he has his lips around the faucet as we speak, awaiting his owner's talking points.

Sure glad to know we're paying taxes while your hero isn't, Jeff. And he's dang proud of it.

He only "held is own" since that is all he can do -- it's in his DNA.

Hillary: Prepared, Ready, and Able to serve.

Trump: Not prepared, not ready, and not able to serve. Plus, he lacks basic skills about the role, function, and purpose of our government.

Hilary was Cool, Calm, and Collected. And, polite and with solid credentials and experience.

Trump was Cold, Cruel, and Callous. And, damn rude with no finesses.

Hillary Clinton "won" hands down. And the country saw it, too - not counting the hard core Trumpettes of course.

Graham: “Trump Holds His Own."

Hogwash!! The only thing the insane fact deprived Trump was holding was his ass after HRC handed it to him; quite easily I might add.

Keep telling yourself though, you’re as laughable as he is.

Trump's worst response I think:

Hillary said: "Donald was happy to see the housing market crumble in 2008, when he said he could make a lot of money..." (sic).

Trump quickly interjected: "That was just good business."

Wow - get richer on the plight and woes of those losing their homes? How GOP of him.

what the hell is "holding his own" supposed to mean? that trump didn't have a complete meltdown? that he didn't whip out the b-word or the c-word? clinton was vastly superior but for people who grade trump on a curve, i mean, hey, at least least he managed to stand at the podium for 90 minutes!

Objectivity has gone by the wayside i see. Although trump certainly didnt win the day, you are correct. He didnt lose it. Credentials?? Seriously. Honestly, if he was going to implode this was the chance and it didnt happen. Remember obama's first debate against mittens? He was awful and still won. I look at it as a win for trump because of this. Next time look out. Remember though, like romney, clinton has nothing to campaign on. This is the best she has. Sad state of affairs. I am sorry to say trump has a real shot here. And it's because of the ineptness of the worst democratic candidate of my lifetime. Sad debate. She did what i was afraid she would do. Just attacked her opponent because she has nothing to boast of. But you are right mr graham, the press will follow their pied piper to the trough of incompetence. As illustrated in above comments. I have no use for trump, but, i detest the criminal.

Pied Piper is obviously Trump, 4:20, and you are one headed to the trough. Can't open your eyes to the fact this jerk is showing his true colors. It's criminal that we pay taxes on our pittance income while this guy pays none and brags about it. What's his famous saying? Lie after lie after lie.

As I wake up this morning, I'm completely caught off guard by Dannie's spin. I never expected him to side with the lyin' Skank. Just goes to show, you never know, per se.

Trump came across as the disaster he is , wildly out of control , no ability to NOT take the bait ,gesticulating wildly , off message or no message just bluster . This man is a trainwreck with absolutely no plan or ability to lead .He was like a adhd off the rails .

Trump won by default and the online polls show it.

Hilarious to hear you, Jeff, and Crazy Ray whining about how unfair the Donald was treated during the debate. How can you complain about Lester Holt when no one could barely get a word in edgewise with Trump yelling over everyone? What a joke.

i don't know about the rest of you, but i'm awfully tempted to vote for the guy who responded to a question about cybersecurity by talking about how his 10-year-old is good with computers.

641. I am the above poster and i agree with ur sentiment. However, how is clinton any different. Please advise. I have been waiting this whole campaign for someone to provide real factual info. On how hillary is any different. All i ever get is never trump. Understand this. If clinton was anywhere near a viable candidate this race would be over. But since she is no different she has given rise to the trump movement. I await ur thoughts.

12:59, you are correct, Clinton certainly has her flaws. The difference is Trump is downright dangerous, has no filters which his supporters seem to think is an attribute. He actually mocked her for not "looking presidential". He can be rattled at the drop of a hat, how do you think that will play out when dealing with foreign affairs? He doesn't have a clue how lower or middle class struggle, and brags about what a wonderful businessman he is by taking advantage of their disadvantages. Never yet have seen an ounce of compassion in this guy. Brags about not paying taxes.
I get it. We're all sick of career politicians, and want to teach DC a lesson. But not this guy. I'm, unfortunately, at the point of comparing the number of disadvantages of both and his outnumber hers. Cue the "democrats will vote only party line" remarks, but I'm not a democrat and never have voted just party line.

12:59, I can live with that. Very well said. As I have been saying all along, it's a bad year for all. Trump is not the answer, neither is. It really is shameful.
