The Steady Drip, Drip, Drip of Bad News

The FBI notes on the Hillary Clinton interview in July do provide another day of drip, drip, drip on scandal, but I don't know how much insight it provides. It seems the FBI just had to get the interview out of the way so the matter could be put to bed.
Like anyone in this situation Mrs. Clinton wisely relied on "I don't recall" and seemed content to say she relied on the judgment of others.
Mrs. Clinton is hunkered down, running out the clock on her lead, and she still has her ace in the hole, the press commited to her victory.

Hillary Clinton's ace in the hole is Donald Trump. He's a buffoon incapable of being President. But, frankly, even a moderate, or st least sensible, Republican would have problems for two main reasons. First, the current Democratic president has strong popularity ratings because the growing economy, however slowly, and, the relative state of security the U.S. is in compared to the two very active wars we were engaged in 10 years ago. Terrorism, although annoying and contemptible, is not a real threat to our well-being and most people understand this.

Second, the Republican Party itself is broken. It is split into many factions with too much disagreement among the factions. A radical fringe, unhinged from reality and backing Donald Trump, believes illegal immigration and radical Islam are the most important issues facing this country when they are far down the list compared to issues like the economy and government effectiveness. A Republican Congress the past four years has not passed any significant legislation and, led by the radical fringe Freedom Caucus, may hold up spending bills this Fall again threatening another government shutdown. In their zeal to show government is ineffective, they only prove Republicans can't govern.

I agree with 708 but I must say that neither can the Democrats lead.. Pathetic that this country cant work together.
Elise has been nothing but a rubber stamp for her mentor Paul Ryan but in reality he has a very poor track record which dosnt include us in the North Country.. Mr Derrick offers nothing but head bobbing for Clinton and Matt F. isnt going to do anything for us either.
I,ll take my chances with Trump.. He many be rough and a bafoon like 708 says but you get what you see. Clinton is a liar first class and willing to sell our Country to the highest bidder . All she wants is power thus the leaches all want to attach to her and the rich will get richer and the rest of us go down.

I do not see a growing economy. I see the press not printing the economic news as they did with a Bush in office. I see glimmer of good news being constantly adjusted downward the next month, and most of the adjustments not widely reported on.

The worst areas are the inner cities. That causes more problems than Police officers do but the press paints a different picture so that is overlooked as the press does not want to say anything bad about the current president.

It hard to know when retired government bureaucrat in MD is just being a troll. But just in case he is serious...

The govenrment never shut down. Only a small unimportant portion of it did. The result was that the Democrats got creamed in the election. Republicans won governorships and took over the senate as well as took even a larger majority in the house.

In the simple minds of democrats, "governing" means to control every last aspect of our life from DC. But in the minds of the founding fathers, the framers of the Constitution, government was intended to be limited.

The democrats have spent $20 trillion dollars "governing". This spending rate is unsustainable and will lead to a collapse of the very government they want to control them.

Terrorism is just an annoyance and not a real threat? Now I've heard everything..tell that to the people who got their legs blown off and the ones killed at the Boston marathon..

Should Trump win the election, Martial Law will be declared by POTUS.

And now we get a sermon from NY21UnderStuff telling us terrorism is not a real threat. In the age of nuclear weapons and biological weapons, he tells us not to be concerned. I just hope when the muzlimms try out that stuff it's where NY21 lives. And that would explain why we should be concerned about his Skank keeping secrets on her cell phone.

The problem here, Sir, is an out of control and unresponsive government. You know, people like you. $19Trillion in debt, and rising steadily. Under your Pants Suit, it will continue to mushroom. The country was based on freedom and opportunity. All you Democrats off is less of both. You and your dannie media are in the bag so much all you think about is your own future, and not of the nation. More of you, more pay for you, more benefits for you. Less for people who actually work. But why worry, the dannies don't pay taxes like the rest of us. They're heroes, of one category or another. You always talk about leveling the playing field, but not for yourselves. NY21, you're not an American, you're a Democrat, just like our tax sheltered hero.

actually clinton requested that the full file be released for the sake of transparency. and it provided quite a lot of insight. it completely supports that fbi director comey accurately described the investigation in his public remarks, and that the fbi made the (obviously) correct judgment in not moving to indict.

clinton's "ace in the hole" is not at all the press -- which is shamelessly trying to tear her down right now -- but that, with the notable exception of her email server (which was a mistake but not illegal), she's done everything by the book. it's definitely a good and appropriate thing for the press to investigate her affairs. but the reality is that these investigations keep coming up empty, yet the press furiously spins it to produce lots of smoke. there's no there.

i mean, whose charitable foundation has actually been busted for pay to play? you really should only need one guess.

What a freakin' joke. Trump reading from a script in a black church. Can't speak on his own without throwing insults and sticking his foot in his silver spooned mouth. Dump Trump.

NY21 is wrong on this. At first I thought he was right. But, in light of the meeting with Mexico, the constant flow of corruption and flat out crimes from Clinton, Trump's adjustment in his campaign, the new ads that show Obama just destroying Clinton when he was running for the Democratic nomination, Bill's slipping, her possible health issues, the lack of a platform or even communication from her campaign and so on, this race is tightening. Ultimately, the sheep will win and arguably the most unqualified and crooked candidate in our countries history will win. Mitt Romney, who was pathetic, was correct about the 47% and the promise of free living will win out. And, with illegals gaining steam to be able to vote, that won't help Trump's chances. Don't make any mistake, Clinton and Obama are smart in that regard. They could care less about immigration. It's all about votes. And she still wins despite herself.

Several key words come to mind re: this race -- an honest answer would be nice, too:

1. Who is the most capable of being president?

2. Who has the most experience to sit in the Oval Office?

3. Who is most suited to the handle the day-to-day situations?

Dannie, you're full of yourself to a point of absurdity. Who is the most capable? Well, considering your Skank has already "lost" classified information, collected bribes from foreign nations, created international crises such as the Arab Spring, and minor stuff like lying minute by minute. So, in your eyes, I guess she's pretty capable. On to who has the most experience. Well Dan, who cares? Your woman's experience ranged from travelgate, to white water, to a completely failed health insurance program, to stealing china other items from the White House that ended up having to be returned. Ooo's, as it were. So you're right. I concede. She has the most experience. On to who it the most suited. Well, I guess I'd go with your girl again on that. Who else refused to answer the phone when our diplomats needed help? And all to protect an election season lie that terrorism was largely defeated. You remember, the "JV Team". She disrespects our military, sells weapons to nations that contribute her foundation, and hides. No open questions for our girl. So is she suited to be president? I guess if you have your heart set on a criminal, bribe taking liar, she's our pick. Dan, forget this debate stuff. What this comes down to is you would bend over for Charles Manson if he were running on the Democrat ticket. You are the most partisan, close minded individual we have ever heard from. And you wonder why your opinions aren't valued.

I will take a shot at Mr. Francis's questions, as an independent
1. Neither, and I think that has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.
2. Either, Hillary certainly has public service. Donald has business experience. I think people are tired of the establishment so this becomes an interesting question
3. Neither, Trump doesn't have the temperament. Clinton, doesn't have the ethics.

Great questions to ask and voters should think of this when voting. As you can tell from my answer, I am not voting for either of them. Party affiliation is ruining politics. For this reason, if a gun was to be put to my head and I had to vote, Trump would get it...but only with the threat of death LOL

If Hillary can't remember anything, how do we know, that she will know, how to be president. Oh, know I remember, it was Colin Powell. People do not realize the negative impact this will have on our nation. Is it Alzheimer disease setting in? No, I think its personal greed and "I am president, hear me roar". Its all a mind game for her.

STHU 10:36. Your post is rife with B.S. and flat-out lies. You are a shameless loser.

No GEDLess, 10:36 is on the money and if you have many brain cells left, you would admit it. He presents a reasoned argument. You, on the other hand, seem intoxicated, per se.

Would you point out any lies? I can't find any.

I'm sick of it all being a pride filled horse race! Many have put numbers one , and two, on these people. We here the bell, and they are off. Making bets, wanting bragging rights on who picked the winner. If you love Hillary vote for her! Same with Donald. If you have done the math, and one of them fits your needs, go for it! Vote. Move ahead. Danny has his choice. I have mine. You have yours. Why argue over making a choice? Just be happy you have the right to vote, be happy on your choice, leave the horse racing to others. 😎

Drip, drip, drip -- all the while the GOP hopes for a Tsunami to wipe out the Clintons ... there ain't no there there... give it a rest.

Better yet, pull up a chair figure this out:

Lesson #1 for GOP.

Ray is right but isnt this fun? And this dan guy still cant answer his own questions.

No facts matter to our Dannie. I think the man sleeps with a Hillary doll. It talks to him and sings little partisan lullabies so he can sleep, as it were.

See Dannie has to come to the Mayors blog to spread his gospel cuz' no one goes to his blogs! I clicked on the link to one of his blogs once just to try and understand what was going on in his head, and I wanted to burn my laptop away after two minutes. However, I may escape an audit in the future for having visited such a blog.

Dan. The questions you posed in an above post. I answered them right after you drafted them. I think both candidates have proved their worthlessness.

Dannie,
Let's go back to your comment regarding Trumps hiring of models on visitors visas being far more heinous than Hillarys emails.
