Speaker to Duffy.....Let's Keep It The Way It Is

Former LG Bob Duffy is a guy who understands upstate NY as a former police chief and a former mayor of Rochester. Mr. Duffy has suggested upstate legislators function more as a regional caucus rather than part of a party caucus dominated by downstate.
Speaker Carl Heastie says no way...Why would he support a notion that dimnishes Democratic power ? Carl Heastie is where he is because he is a Democrat first and foremost.
Mr. Duffy's suggestion will go nowhere except it may remind upstate Dems where their allegiance should be. We have witnessed the opposite on important issues like the SAFE Act to more menial issues like the mimosa law

Sure Jeff. As if you give a damn about the unSAFE Act.

8:30 Addie's actions speak louder than words. She has found another downstate a##whole to wipe.

Do you think any of this will matter to the Addies and the Dannies? They will love whatever the party and the city requires them to love. Their actions and their beliefs are never their own.

Informally, the Assembly is developing a decent group of moderate, pro-business Dems who collaborate within the conference. Joe Morelle, Robin Schimminger, John McDonald, a few others. Billy Jones will be ba great new part of this informal group, to the benefit of the North Country.
