PUBLIC EYE SPECIAL WITH JEFF COLE: 2016 Republican Assembly Primary | WPBS News Room

The three candidates for the GOP nod in the River District tape a forum Wednesday at Public TV.......Will anything of substance come out of this ?   Only if the candidates get edgy, but since what's said on one media gets little or no coverage elsewhere, I don't think it will have much impact....
Frontrunner and media favorite John Byrne faces off against bobsledder Russ Finley and SLC guy Bill Sheridan.
The winner of the primary faces Democrat Addie Russell.

Byrne is only the frontrunner in your mind. People who actually register and vote in the Republican primary, are not going to give Byrne a shot from half court after he choked and missed a layup.

I read he has three lines already. Let's make it four and crush the maid for good.

Speaking of getting a pass, no comment, Mayor, on Albany Addie's flip flop, first defending Start Up NY and then calling for an overhaul, which got her taken to the woodshed in today's WDT. Think our ultralib Assemblywoman is ever going to get another return call from a state bureaucracy owned by her party's leader? She would have been better, once again, to keep her mouth shut.

8:12 is right - Byrne is no frontrunner...just the loser from 2 years ago. If you want to know who the front runner is take a ride around the 116th

Whats the matter? don't want to fact check Russell Finleys past, lots of good talking points in there. Don't worry it's about to take center stage soon.
