MSM Declares Clinton the Winner

No gaffes, but the two Clinton friendly networks quickly declared the debate a win for Hillary Clinton.  What is clear is that while Donald Trump made points, he also allowed himself to be on the defensive on some issues particularly in the last half hour.
I am not sure there was much determined by the session, but I do think Mr. Trump failed to make progress even if he didn't lose much either. He got tied down on birtherism and some other issues that needed a quick , dismissive answer. A pro Clinton question at the end about her appearance was bobbled as well.
Mr. Trump did demonstrate conversancy in several issues, but the media spin will be that Mrs. Clinton won
The next debate is the two VP candidates. I expect Mike Pence to do well.....

Pence should run for the top spot...but then I wouldn't vote for him if Trump was his VP anyways. Carry on.

"conversancy" in which issues?

although let's face it, a comment like that really puts the lie to the entire trump candidacy. he's a guy for whom being able to put together a mildly coherent 10-second sound bite is somehow spun by the ex-mayor as great accomplishment. how on earth is someone who can barely clear that standard on a smattering of issues even remotely qualified to be president? it's like taking someone who knows nothing about cars or major corporations and saying, sure, let's make him the head of gm....

Kleptrap, don't bother. We know where your head is. You are part of the cancer that wants things to stay just as they are. It wouldn't matter who was running on the Republican side, you, like the dannies, would line up, bend over, and puke whatever nonsense necessary to justify your complete party line loyalty. You are not an American, Kleptrap, you are a Democrat first and foremost.

Trump was off he rails ,what an incredible performance of inability . This man has no clue , zero , it was apparent to even the most jaded that he always TOOK the bait , lost it and was gesticulating wildly and uttering nonsensical utterly false statements throught the evening . I actually felt embarrassed for him . This guy is unhinged and we all saw that last nite , scary

This was Trump's best debate and the only one thus far where he has been the clear winner.

8:10, Trump doesn't scare me, the continuation of the last eight years with a lying skank scares me. That, and the fact that deep thinkers like yourself are commonplace.

it's not that the "msm" declared clinton the debate winner. it's that the objective evidence that's available overwhelmingly said that she won. cnn's snap poll had her winning 62-27. ppp's snap poll had her winning 51-40. cnn's focus group was 18-2 for clinton. frank luntz's focus group at fox was 16-6 for clinton. it was a rout.

I always perceived the broadcast networks as somewhat fair be it either political party until this year. The bias is beyond belief with these same pundits who articulated Mr.Trump would never be nominated in the first place, etc. Rather than conventional TV ads his campaign team should hold the press to the same standard by showing their yellow journalism for what it is in my view. They believe they are above reproach and frankly my belief is America is just as tired of their status quo as that of politicians. My wife and I have switched parties so we vote for the outsider in this instance.

Trump missed a golden opportunity on the Birther-Issue by using Clinton's words against her, and appropriately so in this case: "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

Rejoice Hillary, rejoice; for victory is only short lived.
