GOP Food Fight That Few Will See

With a whopping six people viewing the live stream and a small over the air audience on Friday, the GOP Assembly debate on WPBS will sway few even though accounts from the event taped today show a feisty and contentious affair hosted by Jeff Cole.
Bobsledder Russ Finley laid into his opponents charging Bill Sheridan with being a double dipper who will make over $200K a year if he wins.  Finley lambasted John Byrne for his $20K+ in fines from the Liquor Authority when he owned an Oneonta bar and Finley said Byrne was caught red handed dumping cheap liquor into expensive bottles.
Mr. Byrne came sporting a Trump tie, although earlier in the year he skipped the Trump rally to attend the Kasich event supported by GOP poobahs and media mandarins.
It was said to be heated at times between Mr. Sheridan and Mr. Finley as an Addie Russell staffer looked on during the taping at the Arsenal Street studio. Mr. Sheridan chided Mr. Finley for refusing to say if we would support the primary winner if other than himself.
The Dems seem to think Mr. Sheridan is now the frontrunner, but this is really a hard race to guess. I had pegged Mr. Byrne the early favorite, but Mr. Finley has been aggressive too.
Next Tuesday we will know for sure, but the media filter on such things will likely not give voters much of the flavor of today's battle royale.

Figures that the left wing media would allow the enemy to watch in order to help them in the general.

Yes you have been saying Byrne is the favorite but those of us who actually vote in the primary have been telling you that you are wrong.

I don't know who Sheridan is, but if I find out before the primary, there is a good chance he could convince me not to vote for Finley. I would vote for AJR before I would vote for Byrne.

Sheridan retires from corrections, then somehow manages to to get himself the bid on the lucrative Volunteer Services Contract. Now he wants the Assembly job with the, 40,000.00 Raise? Sounds more like TRIPLE DIPPING,and $250,000.00 a year for little or no work!

Byrne has been and still is the clear primary front-runner and loser in November.

If we split this ticket again it's another term for Addie.

Finley is aggressive for sure, we know that from his rants on the Hotline - we also know what he is against... now what is he far?

Dan hes for a democracy and a fair representation in our government instead of Obama and the cronies.

If we give this to Byrne, it is the same as giving it to Addie. They hold the same view on almost every issue.

Mr. Sheridan as a county Legislator has been part of creating the financial crisis problem in St. Lawrence county.

I haven't made up my mind between Byrne or Finley yet. I agree, Mr. Finley is aggressive. Maybe that's what we need. Mr. Byrne seems too passive.

4:36 Very wrong with Sheridan. He was there in the days of Republican control and a hefty fund balance. Don't go there with mis information. Byrne is Passive and Finley is just plain whacked. Do as you wish, but this here republican is Sheridan without even blinking an eye.
