Sad news tonight as we learn of the passing of Arnold Palmer, the golf icon but also a symbol of class in sports and life for generations of Americans.  Arnie was 87 and died at his home in Latrobe, PA.

He was a part of the generation of class. Can you imagine Arnie refusing to stand for the National Anthem? How bout getting arrested for beating up his babymomma? He was a man of honor and honesty. The world is better because he was in it.

When I think of golf, I think of Arnold Palmer as the all-time great, both in his play and in his integrity. What a classy sportsman he was! The world has lost an icon!

It is sad that we have to commend someone for behaving the way we are all supposed to act and most of us do act.
