WDT: Tax Someone Else.....

The Times wants the SLC bed tax law expanded to collect more money....Too bad the hospitality industry doesn't have a First Amendment......There is no sales tax on newspapers and no sales tax on the advertising (broadcast too).
It's very easy to advocate for taxes on someone else's product......Easy but not right.

I'm watching the Olympics. Great fun. But what the hell is the significance of the little girls carrying the potted plant?

What the hell is it with this Olympic crap? one African team near the Brazilians came out with smocks with the letter H and a big arrow on them. Is this the illegal voter contingent for the pants suit? And where the hell is that country named Refugee? Is that part of Chigago? The kids carrying little pot plants was really interesting. And no matter how corrupt the official was, the word of the day was diversity. Over the two hour show, it was repeated about 400 times. Boy did I feel emotional at that point. I thought I was listening to a Dannie speech on the talk shows. I loved the part where the soldiers in fatigues raised the Olympic flag. I expected to see a giant Zika balloon hoisted above the stadium. One of the funniest openings of my lifetime. Except of course when Pants Suit opens her mouth. The only thing it lacked was a Black Mosquitos Matter sign.

Excellent blog entry. My sediments eggzactly.
Reminds me of golf course politics to a tee.
You forgot to mention that the newspaper vending machines are exempt from the sign ordinances and vending laws.
And the publisher enjoys an address in the NY Empire Zone.

Good point, 8:14. Dannie never met a vote buying program he didn't like. He loves to spend. But enjoys tax breaks for himself, per se.
