WDT: Finley Says He Won't Accept Proposed Legislative Pay Hike

GOP Assembly hopeful Russ Finley, hoping to capitalize on public disdain for elected officials, said today he will not accept the pay hike for state lawmakers likely to take effect in January. He challenged his opponents to say the same.

No Jeff, I don't think he is trying to capitalize on anything. I believe that's the way this guy thinks. If we can elect him, we would have a real representative in Albany, not a NYC servant.

This is a big non-issue. First of all Russ will finish last in the 3 way race with approximately 7% of the vote. Just another failed attempt to get elected to something. He would be better off asking Addie for an assistant job than hoping to ever get elected to anything. Some people just need the attention. Don't worry about the raise Russ, just keep trying to pay your taxes.

Oh, come on now. Addie is not that. Obviously you have not looked into her activities in her district.
One thing that I can say though is that politicians avoid taking any views on things like windmills, which was a critical issues in the last election.
"It's up to the locality", is not an answer one in office should give. Either you are for alternate power, or against it.
Same with water levels on the St. Lawrence, discharge with fewer "stations" to check it, business who use foreign labor who will work for less wages, casinos in the district, which way to provide cheaper health care to a district with low wage income, community development over "everything for Fort Drum Support", gun law support or repeal or modification given the district's view, regulation or repeal of pollution standards, change in drug laws and punishments, specific views on privacy rights verses surveillance rights, regulation of phone telemarketing, local control of schools verses government mandates.

911.. Your somewhat of an idiot. Do you realize what your claiming .. Who serves NYC greater than Blankenbush and Patti Ritchie..
Russell has pissed off certain people in NNY but as a whole she has done a more than substantial job with issues and delivering money when needed. You people Sheridan and Byrnes cannot even endorse or acknowledge their parties own canidate for president because the party leaders would frown on them... I take back what I said and its not somewhat anything your just plain stupid.
