Some Political Notes

Got a nice photo over the transom today of bobsledder Russ Finley perched on the Albany set of the queen bee of NY political coverage, Liz Benjamin.
It is good to be on her show and it gives some exposure in the political class in the capital, but I am not sure how much up here.
There is no coverage of things said or news made on other media, as I doubt anyone in the local MSM watched. Heck I didn't and I like Russ.
I look at this three way race for the GOP nod in the River District as a lock for John Byrne who had the signs and the residual name recognition from two years ago.
Short of spending a boat load on advertising, there is no way to get on the radar and there is no serious political journalism north of the Thruway.
In other political news, I'd say the Khan controversy ensures Donald Trump won't be joined by any GOP poobahs this Thursday in Plattsburgh.
Fascinating how willing the party elites are so willing to give up the White House and maybe the Senate as long as they keep their place at the trough.
I used to think highly of Paul Ryan till I saw him today waving a copy of the Constitution to grandstand the Kahn thing.
In Albany, the Governor is not allowing pervs to play Pokémon Go....What in God's name are these people talking about ?
No word on signing the Mimosa Law...Observers expect if before football season.

Mr. Mayor, not sure your basis for claiming Byrne has this thing locked. Republicans are very skeptical about voting for someone who wakes up one day and says, you know what - I think I'll be a Republican instead of a democrat. just because you can't win a seat over on the left doesn't just mean you can switch to the right and expect lifelong republicans to vote for you...Byrne will lose because he doesn't have old Hank to help him out in the primary

Kinda like when finley got his ass kicked and woke up after the election as a Republican 736? The Republicans will lose for the same reason as always. They're all shit candidates...

My vote is for BYRNE. Not either one of the spoilers.

7:36 Russ is this you? Just substitute Trump for Byrne in your posting.

Incorrect decision and wrong once again.

Thank you Mr. Byrne for coming to Massena today.
