Watertown's Former Five-Term Mayor Offers His Take on Life in the North Country and Beyond
You are confusing the pool season with the city pool schedule.People with private pools, open them much sooner and close them much later than the city does with the public pools.
Almost as short as hockey season, huh?
Understand... the City is backwards with their process.. This goes for just about everything, but in this case, lets spend another 2 million we dont have on something we will use less than just about any other service in the city. if we have the extra, add it to the million mansion arena so it can be used year round like it should be. Look at how much money is spent on the hockey teams going elsewhere to use ice. It might amaze you. Like anything else the city does, they dont go to the source and figure out whether something works or doesnt work, and what the long term effects actually are going to be. If you asked the hockey association, they might just have enough need to pay the price.
The city already has a Taxpayer/Private-sector funded Year Round swimming pool.. called the YMCA. Check it out sometime.
1045 Hockey is year round.. We know and travel because watertown is way behind clayton and cicero and syracuse..it would be used and financed ok with hockey year round.
3:11 PMThen build your own hockey rink and rake in the dough...
232 you should run for council.. thats what they would say.. someone who wants to pay for a building and finance it through their fees and programs... i would make them go elsewhere too. Your crazy response puts you right in the seat on the third floor common sense.Nice Job.Maybe you too can get some black rimmed glasses and pretty up your hair..Good luck.
