That is impossible because the NYS government says they have to give much more notice before laying off that many employees.

Hard to be sure if this is a bluff or not. It will be interesting to see if the franchise blinks first or the landlord blinks first. On the one hand, we saw Massena close their Ponderosa and Pulaski has been for sale forever and probably will close. So the landlord has good reason to believe they will close and therefore should offer a break on the rent. On the other hand, it is hard to believe this(relatively) new building NYS built for them, can't make a go of it, so the landlord has good reason not to negotiate too much.

Tough break - obvious Corporate decision ... the so-called bottom line.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with increasing their payroll by more than 50%

Bad service. Employees not trained well. Reminded me of Borders books. Nuts working there. Good riddance.

Dannie, what would you know about any bottom line? Have you ever in your life worked for a business that had to earn money? Per se?

I figured the end was near when I saw their advertising Canadian money accepted at par. Besides, the State = the sum of it's tax payers = you and I... meaning WE built that building.

I'm sure you are correct 10:42. After all NY is open for business.

The place was a dump, good riddance

The best part are all the comments on the JunkNewz Facebook page. Much sadness that is offset by excitement that its closing might open the door for a Golden Corral (1/2 the people couldn't spell corral). I can not believe the garbage that people eat and consider it dining out. I would let my kid eat from a street vendor in Mexico before either of these places.

The news people really don't do much digging/investigating anymore... rumor is George Ruddy from Cavalarios Steakhouse and his partner in the Thompson House is opening up a BBQ joint

1:12 you should do some more digging/investigating before you start rumors... Never heard of the "Thompson House"...did you mean another restaurant? I'll give you a hint "keeping up with the ......" And it's not Kardasians
