Newzjunky.com Police Blotter

When you read the blotter or look at the app on who's in the clink, there are lots of aggravated unlicensed charges....one person shoplifted an energy drink and that led to the unlicensed charge.
I often wonder how many people are driving without a license. Back in the day, getting and keeping a license was important and if you got a ticket you got a write up in the paper and some harsh words at home.
Now people lose licenses, can't afford the sanctions, just crumple up tickets and never respond, Also many younger adults just don't run out at 16 to get a license.
As for the $4.13 can of Monster, wonder whatever happens to those kind of cases ?

I too remember when the Times ran all the traffic stops; tickets; etc. Remember when they ran all the estates from the Surrogate's Court?

I believe many of these unlicensed folks are dwi victims that lost their licenses and can't or won't stop drinking, or driving. You know, that alcohol stuff is just like heroin. It can drop off a tree and hit you on the head and presto, you're diseased.

You lose your license for many reasons. Mainly because the state has ridiculous minimum fines. The AUO is 293 to 593.

Another big one is nonpayment of child support

The biggest reason people are losing their licenses is they're taught that rules don't need to be followed.
The second biggest reason is the lazy incompetent idiots that run the courts and dmv that have zero accountablility.
