Anti Cop Message Appears on City Street Again

UPDATE- The message was cleaned up although someone from the hood told me it was there all summer. How sad is that, if true ?
When I drove down Jefferson Street today, I saw what appeared to be the same painted graffiti I saw last spring. The text says "Fuck the Police."
Was it cleaned up and appeared again in the same spot....possibly as I don't recall seeing it over the summer.
In any event it's disrespectful and a bad message to kids.  The City should remove it pronto.

Now this is why you were a good mayor. when you saw or heard something you made a call and got things moving. mayor butler seems to be aloof on things like this & the water fountain for example. if he can't handle the small things how can we have faith that he handle the big things.

In a related police story. I saw on CL earlier some postings about a local officer posting a video he filmed of a naked girl on his facebook page. I'm not sure who he is but sounded like it might be WPD officer.

Just goes to show you what great parenting we have in these parts.

The kids know they are just throw away pieces of garbage and just a meal ticket for Baby Mamas.

The 2016 prize are the parents of the hood that penned and sang 'Watertown Whore'

And yet we still ask our respected Men & Women in Blue to police the garbage that roam and reside in our cities.

Looks like the penmanship would be female, too neat, letters have a curve, pretty like appearance.

Kind of vulgar way of phrasing it...but I agree with the sediments.

I thought the same thing about the penmanship...looks like a females writing.

maybe City Manager Addison can send over a couple unit leaders to clean it up...

You made a good point about this on the show today Mr. Mayor. If this graffiti happened to take place on Green St, Ward St, or maybe even Teneyck St, we would not be talking about this right now.

Re 2:11
Well, where there is smoke, there is fire. I heard through the grapevine that the powers that be were in full cover up mode today with this video posting scandal. Kind of like the time a certain city official was stopped for a possible DWI awhile back....

a moron, agreeing with the "sediments"..probably sitting in his basement, eating Cheetos and smoking meth.

If it had said F--- black, gay professors, Scotty would have dispatched team coverage and Perry would hold the presses.

What the hell are you talking about, 8:30? The point is it did not appear on TenEyck, Green, or wherever. It took place in an area of the city known for chaos. I think we should just pull the police out of that neighborhood, drop in some guns, ammo, and meth, and let the fine folks enjoy themselves.

Stop all welfare payments to the neighborhood. Don't resume until the pukes are handed over. These thugs would be arrested, given up by the neighbors faster than a speeding bullet.

If it happened on Teneyck I would have got my pressure washer out and cleaned it up myself because I care about the neighborhood I live in.

The city discriminates against poor people, it's no secret. How many times do you see them send out the goon squad in the blue cars to harass the less fortunate about petty stuff. Meanwhile they drive by a couch in the middle of the street!

If that graffiti said F*c! Gene Hayes and the city dpw, there would be 13 guys over there cleaning it up plus another 13 watching!

@11:54

“If it had said F--- black, gay professors,” Graham wouldn’t have made a peep about it.

Have to stand up for the city DPW workers..They just finished a job on my street, two blocks, where they had to rip up and repave the street, and intall new curbs. They did a great job. They kept the residents informed as to what they could expect and how long it would take.It looks great now,and they even reseeded and replaced the torn up edges by the curbing. With a little more manpower and equipment,I would feel confident in their ability to do more major jobs like Factory Street, which is taking forever.Thank you Public Works..

Exactly 12:37.

Another way of putting it... is, if the graffiti read F--- HRC, do you really think
Graham would be as equally outraged?

F--- NO!!

Jeff Graham said...

Yes I would 850. The use of profanity is low rent and offensive and to show disrespect to cops or HRC is equally low rent,

I have to walk by that everyday, frankly I find it sad that a teenage girl did this and months later it is still there. No it was not redone, it is still the very same one that was placed there late one night. I understand that the DPW is very busy however as long as it has been there I really see no excuses considering the short amount of time it would take to be corrected. Whenever I walk by that I shake my head and think how sad it is that things like this are done in the first place and even sadder they are just left there for children to see.
