WDT: Is There Any Democratic Scheme Addie Won't Defend ?

Here's an interesting story with political implications.  Assemblywoman Addie Russell issues a tortured defense of the StartUp NY program which, in a discreetly released report, showed a truly embarassing set of results when compared to the hype around the Governor's signature jobs program.
If really seeking reelection, the MOA might have been better served by calling it like it is on StartUp. A competant opponent would be on this like flies on a rib roast.

I don't think they are counting all the jobs this scheme saved at the media outlets. I saw millions of dollar in advertising, just on our local channels, for Start-up NY. Imagine what the national ad-blitz cost and how many jobs it created !!! I mean you aren't going to just count jobs it created in NY are you?

I see some giant useless signs were erected recently, outside of the airport on 12F. It is fumy to see all the do-gooders who do things like kill Doggie Doo sign, and then go on to support these giant eyesores. Go take a look at them. Its worth the shock. You can rest assured that some people made a lot of money, making and putting up those signs.

Reportedly, this jobs program had a plan to train young women to wear heels and serve as maids for NYC Democrats. Adelaide did not want the competition. That's the only reason it failed. But like Addie says, despite this financial disaster, "it's too early to predict the success or failure of the program". You can't make this stuff up. The woman is nuts.
