Sheridan Visits Pete's

I just muse based on what I hear, but tonight I had the pleasure of hearing from Republican Bill Sheridan who is running for Assembly and by coincidence had dinner tonight at Pete's with his absolutely charming bride Amanda.
I got there late as I was at the gym making up for a life of sloth, but we had a nice chat.
Mr. Sheridan is one of three people seeking the GOP line in AD 116, the so called River District held now by Assemblywoman Addie Russell.
So far, the racket has favored 2014 candidate John Byrne who has locked up the three GOP me-too parties and seems to be the favorite of the  Republican chairs and sitting pols.
Mr Sheridan clearly knows politics and plans to press on. However, if he wins the  B line without the me-too parties it would be hard to beat Ms. Russell.
There will be little or no news coverage of this race, so you will have to work to find out what's going on. Mr. Sheridan did mention he supports Donald Trump. So far only Russ Finley has said so while John Byrne was backing Governor John Kasich and stood with the local political and media establishment at the Kasich rally in April.
Two years ago, I think the MSM had lined up behind Mr Byrne, but I am not so sure this time. We will see, and its clear Mr Sheridan and bobsledder Russ Finley have no intention of folding their cards.

Sheriden like Byrnes needs to endorse Trump openly so everyone can put him on record. Then from there we can determine the true Republican. As of right now Finley is the only one with guts enough to do such.
Ritchie and Blankenbush support the Democrats and Clinton thus they support Addie and so be it.

The chairs and the MSN are not particularly good at picking the winner. That is especially true in the primaries, where the Harvard Gal beat the chair/media candidate by an embarrassing margin. It also shows that the voters grow tired of betting on a horse with a losing track record, in what should have been an easy race.

And don't forget that Trump is polling high here, which will influence the general but even more so, the primary. The guy who was backing Kasich is not going to be favored by the primary voters.

The deciding factor is if Sheridan has the courage to publicly back Trump, like Stefanik finally did. Will he dare risk being shunned by those people in his community who gave BLM's an honorary degree and who teach the sensitivity/diversity/white-privilege education courses to our future superintendents? Or will he play it safe so that he gets invited to the wine and cheese parties, but lose the primary and general in the process.

7:32 Blankenbush would never vote for Clinton. Again, another comment from someone who knows nothing what he is talking about.
