Anyone can try to blame, dismiss, mitigate, or excuse these mass shootings anyway they choose, for example, due to growing disgust, distrust, anger, meanness, hatred, and yes, even racism from both black and white sides. Those things and a few more elements: are the CAUSE.

And, guns are the EASILY AVAILABLE and EFFECTIVE INSTRUMENTS.

That cannot be denied. Mass shootings are made easier with pervasive high-powered guns (rifles and pistols); high-capacity magazines; and ability to get plenty of ammo and yes, even body armor at times.

We have to face reality and come to grips with this problem.

Dallas and now Baton Rouge are clear-cut examples of the rage and instrument I mean.

There goes Danny...hoping this latest crime committed by people who hold the extremist views of the left, will help gain support to confiscate our defensive arms. That way, when the next National Socialist leader like Bernie, finally gets the support of the majority, as the slacker cupcake generation comes of age, it will be easy for the totalitarian police state to take over and snuff out all opposition. It will make what the fair did to SCOPE, look like child's play. Sorry you don't understand that the road to Serfdom is paved with gun confiscation, Danny. Well, the good thing, is that whenever you and your side open your mouth, more people buy more guns and the NRA gets more donations.

Sorry Dan you're striking out again, You're pushing for more gun laws in a time when everyone else is, pass more laws, hold more pressers about being tough on crime, or the ever popular one "You don't need a 100 rds to kill a deer" Here's an example: recently on ebay there was a gun for sale, how can this be you say? Well the seller labeled it as parts only, the pic shows a complete rifle, so I called eaby, they said we'll check into it, I then emailed Schumer,(no response) I called or emailed the local elected reps, and also emailed the sellers Hometown Police dept. (no response) I then contacted the ATF(they thanked me) In all instances I had the item number and the sellers name, the fact there are 2 laws being broken, one Gun Control Act of 1968, and mailing a complete firearm through to an indiviual is against the law...NO MORE GUN LAWS DAN..........

This type of behavior has been nurtured and encouraged by this administration. In 2008 the New Black Panther Party stood outside the polling places in Philadelphia with batons intimidating voters. Eric Holder refused to prosecute. In 2012 the New Black Panther Party entered the polling places and physically removed the republican poll watchers. There was no prosecution. Our President has consistently blamed police, whenever there has been an incident, despite evidence to the contrary. After the ambush in Dallas, our current Attorney General was more concerned that Black Lives Matter might be discouraged than the loss of police lives. January 2017 can not come soon enough.

12:43; you are correct. Every time the president opens his mouth, the "rage" interprets the message, that it is ok to kill, the innocent, for misgivings done by others. That is exactly how it is. Anything can be used to kill, not just guns. Its the message, or the lack thereof, with this president, is the real problem. With no guts, there will be no glory.

Jesus, Dan Francis, I usually support your posts but I can't let this one go. The killers will always get weapons. The drug users will always find the drugs. This has ZERo to do with gun control. And, while the President waits to find out the "motive" of the gunman, unlike the way he rushed to judgment in Baltimore against Police and we a found out the facts, thank goodness, for the law and order of the system, these will continue. This is a HATE crime and nothing can stop hate with the exception of getting rid of the hate. It is an inner city cause right now, funny, this doesn't seem to happen in the middle of Kansas where everyone owns guns. Figure it out!
