News That Tells What You Want to Hear on Display in Competing Take on Clinton Speach

They are only a click apart on the dial, but coverage of the Clinton acceptance speech on FOX and MSNBC spoke volumes of the two Americas we now have.
The former reported on the problems in Philly, the weather, the protestors and lingering shouting down of speakers to the end of the DNC. The latter took less than 90 seconds to compare Donald Trump to Senator Joe McCarthy and declare the convention the best and most moving ever.
FOX brought out a fact checker and the Peacock Network brought fawning to new heights.
So, no matter your view, there was an echo chamber this morning to buttress what you want to believe.
What is also obvious from both conventions is that the race to the bottom continues for two disliked candidates with the strategies centered on relentless attacks on the foe.

When we speak of the dannies we are fully aware of the two Americas you mention. Some can't bend over far enough for party line love. Others are actually patriots, something not allowed in the Democrat party, per se.

Gary Johnson and Jill Stein never looked so good.

There is no voting for " None of them ".

You only have 2 choices to pick from.

I changed from a Republican to Democrat and the reason is Donald Trump.

Voting just became easier, I'll vote for Hilary as she is the only choice to make. May God bless the USA.

There isn't complete unity in the Democratic Party as the convention tried hard to attract the Bernie Sanders Progressives and the disaffected. However, it is a broad party of inclusiveness that can and will form a governing coalition. In contrast, the Republican Party is severely split. The convention displayed a fearful coalition of one troll and his minions that excludes women, minorities and immigrants. Key players in the Republican Party have already spoke out against Donald Trump or remained distant and silent. They are not ready to govern. Who is Trump, the ultimate RINO, going to have in his Cabinet? Could any capable politician/public servant do his bidding?

Did you watch any of the coverage on PBS? They probably do the best job of just reporting, and not pushing an agenda.

Jeff, I heard you complaining on your show the other day, as you so often have during this election, about the corrupt and bias media. Something about, (and I’m paraphrasing here) *there aren’t any real journalists anymore.

Have you tried Hannity or Limbaugh? And what about that right wing beacon of truthfulness Bill O’Reilly? I’m certain you will be delighted about all the wonderful things these purveyors of honesty have to say about God Emperor Trump. And the really great thing – they are never ever bias. Also, any number of the white supremacists sites – are undeniably pro Trump.

I would recommend the very reliable conservative blog RedState, but for reasons that escape me, they seem to have equal disdain for Trump and Clinton.

For example: “PATHOLOGICAL LIAR: Trump Suddenly Remembers that He Never Met Putin, After All”

http://www.redstate.com/saragonzales/2016/07/27/pathological-liar-trump-suddenly-remembers-never-met-putin/

Anyways, good luck.

Teddy stood up and said his big stick was going to do America's talking if he was elected. Donald said his hands were going to do his. We as a country eat this stuff up. Why play any different? We watch people fight in rings! We still have a military. Good old hockey fight, no one enjoys that? Please, we are strong nation. We don't back of many fights. Why play that we don't like Donald saying he would like to punch one or two of the people who were at the Dem's convention? We are not a weak country.

I watch PBS as I feel they aren't biased, and the pundits don't scream at each other. I felt they were overly critical of her speech. But the speech was generally good in my opinion.

How come Hillary can present herself, as knowing a lot, but has "CRS" , when it comes to electronic devices, e-mails, and the phone ringing at 3am.

PBS is always great and that's why the GOP basically dislikes them and the little funding support they get ... the word "Public" in broadcasting seems to upset them a great deal - kind of like science.

PBS does, indeed, have the best coverage, and the best nightly news of any of them. Not a bunch of "showmen". On another note, I did love bill Clinton as our president, and life was great then. But, I heard a great commercial today; "it's 3:00 A.M. The phone rings, and rings, and rings, then when picked up, a young lady's voice whispers, is Bill there?" Haha
