Starting to see those ubiquitous Byrne for Assembly signs crop up, prompting recollection in voter's minds about his close race in 2014. Observers think he will win the three way GOP primary, but faces more dubious prospects in the fall.
The top of the ticket must be important because the candidate class of the local GOP gets a rash over the mention of Donald Trump's name. Only bobsledder Finley says he supports him with no qualifiers or reservations. John Byrne was a Kasich backer as the right people were at his rally in April.
What's up ? The woodchucks in the party want Trump but the dainties, and the elites along with the media dilettantes have candidates wary of supporting the top of the ticket.
A GOP old bull says in the AD116 race, Bill Sheridan is the better candidate, but Mr. Byrne has al the me-too lines, so he should get the chance to try again. I suspect that's how it turns out but we will see.
Back to last night...when Bill Clinton declared that "in 1971, I met a girl !", I had to chuckle, as he met so many since.
Oh and Hillary's newfound opposition to TPP ? Looks like that's BS, as her buddy, the Governor of VA told supporters fast track must be passed in the lame duck session.
