Gun Raffle Keeps SCOPE Away From Fair | WWNY TV 7

A gun rights group will be allowed a table at the Jefferson County Fair as long as they don't raffle off a gun, something Fair brass say is too controversial.
Is that what it's come to "
I remember the first time I ran, a merchant offered to donate a gun to raffle off to help the campaign. Nobody thought the suggestion too controversial although on the advice of counsel I can't recall if a raffle occurred.
Will shotgun-start golf tournaments be next ?
Meanwhile the GOP Assembly candidates, sensing a chance to curry favor and point out the SAFE Act, are crowing about how they fought to allow this SCOPE group to be at the Fair.

A gun raffle is controversial? In my county, the fair board includes elected officials. Their positions on this should be canvassed and made public.

It is pretty simple, if you support your second amendment rights, boycott the county fair. Go to Lewis county instead, much better fair anyway.

The person or people who made this decision should be outed, ostracized and removed from the position. As if the fair avoids controversial things? The fair is a gathering placed for the dregs of society and employs people who cannot otherwise get a job. Freak shows, two headed calves, excessive drinking, tattoos and piercings are among the many un-"controversial" things you will encounter there. But guns are controversial? The libtards strike again.

They should raffle off an abortion instead...a $500 value! That way the kids can buy the raffle tickets too, since there is no age restriction or adult consent required for abortions.

I am a PETA member and cows are very controversial. Ban them please.

None of this should come as a surprise. Donkey Central has done a commendable job at feeding off the ignorance of hormone depleted dumbasses everywhere, as it were. Facts have been skewed, and duh dannies have swallowed. It can only get worse as our public school educated and media shaped views become more and more common.

But it is OK to have events at the fair that promote alcohol? Well next subject is guns, we all like our guns, currently on Ebay there's a gun for sale a complete gun, the listing says "Parts" but it's a complete gun which violates ebay listing policies, so I call them they say yes, yes, we'll check it, next stop Schumer, no response, even the Police dept. in the sellers home city no response......So do we really want more laws we won't enforce?

Unfortunately, SCOPE was denied, due to not being "A well regulated Militia". :D

C'mon dan, puke some partisan nonsense.

“The libtards strike again.”

Well I know quite a few of the names and the overwhelming majority of the aforementioned directors and associates affiliated with the JCF who made this call are Republican, or as you might say if it were not for your profound lack of awareness…. conservatards.

So let’s back up a little shall we… The CONSERVATARDS strike again.

Your welcome.

So its controversial to have a gun raffle there, but its not controversial to have a registered sex offender as superintendent of buildings?

Time for a change on the fair board

You know, Dannie/2:02, you made the best argument against the decision to exclude them than any of us could ever make. Your attempt at sarcasm was perfect, and hilarious. But you only make a fun of yourself and your own bias. If you ever again get such an fine idea for a post as that one, please don't hesitate to share right away. What a freakin' dumbass. Thanks bro, as it were.

If you enjoy shooting, and value your freedoms, boycott the fair. If not, just go bend over and enjoy yourself.

You know 654, sadly you have no valid argument, therefore you show your defeat by attempting to mock my comments. Your M.O. never changes.
No intelligent retort? Just come back with a half-wit response, or better yet, fall back onto your tired, partisan, talking points!
I'm embarrassed for you.

BTW, how's the job search going? If you have nothing to add to the topics on the mayor's blog, you may as well find gainful employment. :D
