Governor Cuomo Directs Flags to Half-Staff to Honor Victims of Attack in Nice, France | Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

The amount of time our nation's flag is lowered out of grief is enough to give us all a complex about losing.  Nightclub shootouts, foreign terror incidents, just about anything and either the President or the Governor is lowering Old Glory.

Makes us look weak, and waters down the real meaning of the nation in mourning.

Our flag should only be lowered to half-mast for our losses on the battle field or for key national figures (i.e., former presidents, great Americans in renowned fields and achievements) not for every Tom, Dick or Harry or foreign figures (with rare exception: Churchill, Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, or perhaps a King or Queen) ... at least in my view.

It is supposed to show a collective national honor and respect for the loss, but at what level I think is important, too.

Danny is correct about the flag question. Are we (the U.S.) going to bail out the French for yet another time? Two world wars and Vietnam. Let the whole of Europe and NATO chip in and the U.S. last to reach for the wallet.

There's no doubt where the answer to all this lies. Import as many of these murderers as possible. This filth is guaranteed to vote Democrat. Bring 'em on. It sure worked for the French, and the Belgians, and the Germans, and the Brits. Bring them over here and set 'em up near the golf course.
