Ernst Gets Face Time With The Donald

Donald Trump met today in New Jersey with Iowa Senator Joni Ernst as the first term lawmaker apparently is on the short list for VP....
Yesterday Governor Mike Pence of Indiana met with the likely GOP nominee, but for Governor Pence there's an additional twist. He must declare by the 15rh if he is running for reelection back home. He can't run for both.
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa)
Senator Ernst is a retired colonel with Gulf War combat experience. Her current term has four years left so a VP run has little impact on her political career and at 46 offers a fresh face. Given her career it would be more difficult for the Dems and their media acolytes to portray her as a bimbo blonde.
Pence quiets down some conservatives but Ernst is a better chance to shake things up.
Of course there are still the Newt rumors but yesterday he said Mr. Trump has to stop screwing up and that may not sit well in Trump land.

I see there is a new fad out..R.A.T.. Its like RINO it sticks and so many of our local GOP politicans have failed to step up and endorse the peoples choice. He may not be their favorite but he was chosen by us by quite a lopsided vote and he deserves the help of our other elected officals.. Come on Ritchie and Blankenbush, Sheriden and Byrnes or are you a member of the RATS group.. Republican against Trump is the group and they seem to have joined them.. In other words they will be voting for Hillary Clinton.

I'm voting Trump, but a Newt VP choice would bring him down. Most people should remember what a hypocrite, cheater he was. Smart guy, but he has an ugly past in regard to his fidelity. The Christian/evangelical vote would be compromised.

Ernst ran as a Tea Party candidate and then turned her back on them as soon as the votes were counted. Sort of like Marco Rubio except Rubio ran with Tea Party support, not as a Tea Party candidate and waited till he was sworn in to disclaim any affiliation. Jeff Sessions is the only non-establishment potential VP choice that I've seen mentioned.

1:42 -- FYI: I don't hate anyone ... I may strongly dislike XY or Z persons in office for their views and policy pronouncements and voting records that translate into public policy that harms ... but hate is a word I seldom use towards another person.

I do hate road-hogs; public place line-jumpers; those who speed downtown while zigzagging in and out of traffic; and shitty barbers.

Sorry, ass wipe, but no cigar. Scurry along now.

I hate Bicyclists that don't follow the Rules of the Road, so I hate pretty much all of them.

And Dannie loses it, again. All that military training and can't handle stress. We should get our money back.

Update - a dozen hours ago:

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) all but removed herself from Donald Trump’s vice presidential search, Telling POLITICO in an interview that she wants to help Trump become president, adding that "she is focused on Iowa and the Senate, where she's just getting started."
