County Lawmakers Say 'No' To Green Energy Tax Breaks | WWNY TV 7

The County Leg finally has worked up the gumption to say no more above-and-beyond tax deals for these Big Wind schemes.
On top of the ludicrous results of StartUp NY and the regional kumbaya sessions mandated by the Governor, it's time to start saying enough is enough.
People are tired of all this and while county legislators generally run unopposed, it's clear the message is seeping into their psyches. But really, how long till a wind company dangles some cash in front of a "cash strapped" school district ?
Meanwhile, government largesse is not totally out of vogue. At 245 last night the Council voted 3-2 to seek state funds for the old Masonic Temple Building. In doing so they made a choice not to seek funds for the Lincoln Building which is being developed by Mark Purcell and Brian Murray.

Woolfie headquarters. Would you expect anything less from the commie council?

I initiated the idea of this, on this very blog not that long ago. You're welcome.

But the difference of the two projects is: the Lincoln building is already getting low-cost loans and GRANTS from WLDC and the promise of 150 downtown jobs by Murray.. The Masonic Temple is next to the WDT and across from City Hall.

Too bad for Purcell and Murray. They are already receiving enough free money for "their" "developments"...

It's odd, Normally the county leg. gives out PILOTS like candy, And the only neg vote came from a "Addie" Plant, Al Drake cost his town 66K in sales tax the last time he voted Yes....

You are a special kind of dumb 407...

It's called "scheme energy" not "green energy".

Because 816?? Do you doubt it happened? It did, and Timmy won't run anyone against his drinking buddy....

Who starts a sentence with 'because'? You obviously don't understand PILOTs 407/935.
