City Hoping for Consolation Prize

Undaunted by losing out on the recent downtown mega grant, the City is applying for state money for the Lincoln Building and a couple other projects. I would suspect the prospect is good through the CFA process as a consolation prize may be in order.
The Lincoln Building is slowly making a turnaround. It's like so many older buildings where the decision is either demolition or an expensive modernization. The economics often requre free money, but there is also the concern over increasing vacancy rates in commercial and residential properties.

But why do taxpayers have to subsidize another bldg.? Isn't the project already getting low-interest loans from WLDC? Remember Murray promised 150 new jobs if the project is completed, so bring your yogi matt....

I think the residents deserve a consolation prize for putting up with this bunch at city hall. I mean commie cody & bugsy Jennings are bad enough, throw in joe joe butler and his orange fountain fence and we are only a couple traffics cones away from a full blown cluster.
