As petitions wrap up for state and local office we should soon see who is serious about the Assembly race in the River District. John Byrne seems to be getting the most help from committee members down here, but up north Bill Sheridan may have more of a base. Bobsledder Russ Finley is also in the hunt.Who gets the Conservtive W/P will be telling.
An interesting aside...at the Fort Drum Monument ceremony at Thompson Park, I didn't see Assemblywoman Russell, which would seem a must-go event. Perhaps she wasn't invited and the only pols who spoke were Rep. Stefanik, Senator Ritchie and Mayor Butler.
Republican John Byrne was in the audience.
Had a nice workout at the gym today and the weather looks great, as I am working this afternoon.
It's 11:25 as I write this. Another 35 minutes and you folks paying $300 a night in Clayton can have a mimosa. Thanks Andy.
The RNC in Cleveland is coming up and I heard Friday a Watertown man is attending as a delegate. That would be an interesting news story as I know when I was a delegate it was a big deal. The Times DC correspondent Alan Emery was in NYC as well. Nowadays you'd barely know there is a Presidential race if all you do is read the paper.
