WDT: Wonder How the Gatekeepers Will Play the Shootings ?

I don't know what kind of play this gets in the AM paper or on TV but as one raised on "if it bleeds , it leads" journalism, this report of shots fired on William Street is not just a north country brief. This is Watertown, not Chicago, and squeezing off rounds on this busy street with stores and homes nearby is alarming.
Some reports I heard were two passing cars shooting at each other, but who knows.
One thing I always hear from the scanner crowd is a wondering why something they heard about saw never makes the news.
There's often not the ability to react to events and instead relying on set-piece stories already written or whatever is in the tickler file for that day.
These kind of incidents are worrisome to many, not to others, but if the definition of news is things out of the ordinary, firing shots on city streets fits the bill.

I dunno...its not hard to shoot someone if you want to, but no one got shot, so no one wanted to.

You didn't seem to worry this much about when you were in a position to contribute to a solution. Now that it is someone else's issue to deal with you compassion and concern as if to position yourself.

I seem to recall crime in the city downplayed by you in your years as mayor Jeff.
