TU: Layton to Join WCBS.....Once Worked in Watertown

A reporter who over a dozen years ago worked on Arcade Street as a street reporter is moving up to WCBS-TV in New York after a stint in Albany.
Jessica Layton joins Alexandra Field in movin' on up.
Good for her. Many of us whose broadcast career ended here in Watertown look wistfully on what might have been but I'm certainly happy to see people I dealt with over the years doing so well.

Its not too late if that's what you want. You should apply at Fox to assist Alan Colmes. They could use one more unwitting shill who thinks they are making points for the liberals, but isn't.

Don't forget that you only have to be good-looking on Fox, if you are female. Not that that's a problem for you. But seriously you look much better than Cheney, Rove etc. What is it that doctor Phil said that Megyn titled her book after? "The difference between you and someone you are jealous of, is that you settled for less".

I think you've swallowed too much, 7:22. Go ahead and spit once in a while. Many of us choose to live here in NNY. Sometimes the water or the woods or even the snow and winter keep us here. Sometimes it's family. Many of us decline to pursue careers that take us to uncertain locales. This young lady is obviously free to travel and relocate. I did that for a while then settled here for family matters. It's in individual decision, and not one to build a personal attack upon.

"panoply" that's a great word. How about identifying the folks with Chairman Gray, for those of us not in the know.

It's always good to see someone talented move up in their field. Best of luck to Miss Layton.

She was a good one, glad to see she has done well. Good reporters don't stay in this town very long. Brian and Ann have been here how many years.....

The only thing I didn't like about her was her pronunciation of the word clayton, It is clay tun, not clayt in. Is this some kind of thing our schools teach? Just like her own name. It's lay ton. Not layt in. You would have thought she had an advantage.

I think in the panoply I spy the Chamber Gal (or is that Ralphie from Christmas Story? I get them confused); Sen. DANC Wright and Ms. City Manager Addison.

8:17, what in the hell are you talking about? There was no personal attack in my comment other than to tease the mayor about his being an unwitting liberal.

I live here too and like many here, we rule some opportunities out if we choose to live here. The mayor is the one who implied he wished he could make it to the big time in his chosen career. I told him he could if he wanted to and it wasn't too late.

Layton is attractive, but comes across as timid. There is a more dynamic woman waiting in the wings and I think Layton got out just in time.
