State Awards $1.75M For Watertown-Based Recovery Center | WWNY

A Watertown NFP got nearly one-fifth of the state appropriation for heroin outreach programs. The news coverage doesn't really explain what the facility will be, but it's a windfall for local anti drug advocates who have garnered attention for the problem of heroin addiction locally.

Let's hope it does some good.

It will do some good. Almost two million dollars will provide jobs for people with sociology degrees. And the people who decide to be stupid and try some heroin will continue to do so. Those poor victims. What a terrible disease.
It just drops on you like a bird turd while you're walking down the street.

6:52,Ha! Shows what you know...
They don't have sociology degrees, they have some course work in sociology. A bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

You mock them, but I had a friend who got bit by a mosquito and it was carrying the heroin addict virus. She came down with it really bad but then recovered, but then relapsed a couple times. I think when it comes back when your older like that, they call it "shingles".
